Get to know Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Kenneth Zaslav, who serves patients in New York
Kenneth Zaslav, MDm FICRS, FAAOS, is a well-versed orthopedic surgeon who diagnoses and treats patients at Northwell Health Physician Partners Orthopaedic Institute at MEETH in New York. He has recently joined the faculty of Lenox Hill Orthopedic Sports Medicine Department where he is The Director of the New Center for Regenerative Orthopedic Medicine at Northwell Lenox Hill. Prior to his current endeavors, he was the founding member of the Sports Medicine Center and Cartilage Repair Center at Advanced Orthopedic Centers, now Ortho Virginia, in Richmond VA, where he served as partner for three decades, as well as a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia Department of Orthopedic Surgery. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology, he attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He gravitated toward orthopaedics as a field that not only improved functional performance, but also allowed him to use his intellectual curiosity and think creatively about problems. He completed his residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and also did an internship in general surgery before completing two intensive fellowship programs in sports medicine and shoulder specialties.
