Kenneth Zaslav, MDm FICRS, FAAOS, is a well-versed orthopedic surgeon who diagnoses and treats patients at Northwell Health Physician Partners Orthopaedic Institute at MEETH in New York. He has recently joined the faculty of Lenox Hill Orthopedic Sports Medicine Department where he is The Director of the New Center for Regenerative Orthopedic Medicine at Northwell Lenox Hill. Prior to his current endeavors, he was the founding member of the Sports Medicine Center and Cartilage Repair Center at Advanced Orthopedic Centers, now Ortho Virginia, in Richmond VA, where he served as partner for three decades, as well as a Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia Department of Orthopedic Surgery. As an orthopedic surgeon, he specializes in knee pain, knee problems, knee surgery, elbow pain, elbow problems, elbow surgery, shoulder pain, shoulder problems and shoulder surgery. Dr. Zaslav has published and lectured extensively across the globe on topics such as sports medicine, cartilage repair, orthobiologics and shoulder surgery. Furthermore, he has been an invited speaker at The FDA and a visiting Professor at Universities in Mexico, Venezuela, China, and Japan. Dr. Zaslav is a member of the Richmond Orthopaedic Club and inductee of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He remains a fellow of the International Cartilage Repair and Joint Preservation Society (ICRS) and has served on its Executive Committee in multiple positions including as its President. He is also a Fellow of The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS) and founding member and current Secretary General of The Biologic Association. Dr. Zaslav serves on the Scientific Advisory Boards of several biotech companies in the United States and Israel. Dr. Zaslav was the Company Physician for over 28 years as well as the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Richmond Ballet, which has recently recognized Dr. Zaslav with The Richmond Ballet Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Dance. Kenneth Zaslav, MD, FICRS, FAAOS, is a 1983-graduate of The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. His postgraduate training includes his internship at Montefiore Medical Center (1983-1984), orthopedic surgery residency served at The Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY (1984-1988), as well as his sports medicine fellowship performed at New York University Medical Center in New York City (1988-1989) and his shoulder surgery fellowship conducted at Lenox Hill Hospital (1989-1989). Dr. Zaslav completed his undergraduate education, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, at SUNY Binghamton/Harpur College in 1979. He attained board certification in orthopedic surgery with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society of Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Association of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, the International Cartilage Repair Society, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the Medical Society of Virginia, and the American Medical Association.
